The Japanese word pronounced ray – key means Universal Life Force Energy. Reiki is a non intrusive and subtle treatment in which the practitioner places their hands gently on the energy centres of the body (the recipient is fully clothed). The Reiki practitioner transfers universal life force energy to the recipient, this energy is used by the body to heal itself and replenish energy stores. The recipient will experience deep relaxation and peaceful wellbeing.
 


Reiki can be used without fear of any side-effects or overdose. There are no substances applied to the body, so it can be used with confidence alongside conventional medication to maximise the chances of recovery. Reiki acts in a complementary way and can greatly enhance the positive effects of other therapies such as Chemotherapy, Homeopathy and Acupuncture.
