About Me

I am Victoria (Vicki) Oliver, I am 30 and live in Brockworth, Gloucester with my husband Mark and our 5 year old daughter Emily-Rose.

I grew up in the Cotswolds and moved to Gloucester after leaving school. I worked for several years in various retail and administrative managerial positions up until Emily-Rose was born in 2001.

As a hobby I had been selling books over the internet and at this time made the decision to become a full-time mother although still endeavour to develop my book selling business when I could.

In 2002 I launched www.musicbooksbymail.com and this has now developed in to a successful business shipping books worldwide.

So where does Reiki fit in? - I first became familiar with Reiki from my mother who gave me Reiki throughout my difficult pregnancy and also gave regular treatment on my husband who suffers a lot of back pain as a result of a childhood accident.

As both my self and my husband had experienced the benefits of Reiki, I also decided to become attuned and in June 2003 completed the 1st degree.

I instantly felt at ease with Reiki and it has since become a large part of my life, treating not only my self for those every day aches and pains but also after major surgery. I also treat my husband and daughter (good for calming those terrible 2’s tantrums), other members of both mine and my husbands family and friends and even the household pets.

In July 2004 I completed my 2nd degree.
The idea of this web site came from my original site and the fact that I found it difficult getting books about Reiki from the high street.

During 2005/2006 I completed a Swedish Body Massage course and Look forward to starting an Indian Head Massage course in the new year.
